Sinatra's Live At The Meadowlands to be released

On Friday 14th March 1986, Frank Sinatra played a legendary home coming show in New Jersey that has gone down in history as one of his greatest ever.

Released on 5th October, ‘Live At The Meadowlands’ captures the essence and uniqueness that can only be a Frank Sinatra live show.

The support act for The Meadowlands show was comedian and close friend of Sinatra’s Red Buttons. When he came off stage that night Frank asked Buttons ‘Well?’ to which he replied ‘Wow it’s the third world war out there!’ ‘What the hell did you expect?’ said Sinatra ‘You’re in my home territory here!’.

It was this hysteria and a stunning performance from Sinatra that inspired Universal Music to make this the first release from their recently announced multi-year license of 38 albums from Frank Sinatra’s Reprise catalogue.

This recording holds special significance among Sinatra fans as it’s one of the most sought-after and hard-to-find concert recordings of his career. Hank Cattaneo, Sinatra’s long time production manager and confidante, wrote the set’s liner notes.
